About
A summary of who I am and what makes me tick
I’ve enjoyed painting and drawing my whole life, mainly animals or landscapes. I love trying different techniques and mediums such as paint pouring, spray paints and inks. I also love oil, acrylic, charcoal and watercolour. I’m pretty messy – keeping my art studio tidy can be a problem; I’m working on it!
I used to love drawing my pets and got fairly good at copying photos as a teenager. My parents bought me an easel for my 15th birthday which I still have to this day. I did A level Art but my Dad wouldnt let me study Art at university, it had to be Maths, following in his footsteps. I do love Maths and still have a strong love of puzzle solving but art calls to me from a deeper place. I wake in the night thinking about painting.
My art journey so far has been mainly for fun although I did run a pet portrait business for a while. I now choose to paint my own subject matter in my own artistic voice and hope that people will want to hang it on their walls. I also love working in journals and the freedom of it not needing to be perfect and finished, its a great place to form ideas for larger scale work.
I love animals and birds and they are frequently feature in my work….
I live in Hampshire with my husband, daughter, two whippets and two cats.

I love how art makes me feel totally focused and lost in the moment.

Art College
I spent 2 years at Farnham Art college in my twenties which was good fun but somewhat lacking in actual tuition. I am currently taking the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program which is really interesting and helping me focus my time and hone skills. I’m in a transition period where I am finding my voice so I’m excited to see where my art heads in the next year or two.
